For the first time in the history of the Fiber-to-the-Home Conference, Jim Farmer is not taking up space on the program this year. Instead, he is going to unload his brain of the considerable information he has been carrying around about video, in a day-long pre-conference seminar. Jim’s morning session will be an introduction to video on as non-technical a level as he can conjure up. He’ll talk a little about the history of television, starting with the first black-and-white systems, going through today’s 3D high definition. He’ll touch on the various business models of video and will get into the briar patch of broadcast vs. IPTV.
The 2010 Digital Home Summit will be held at The Venetian Hotel-Resort-Casino in Las Vegas, NV and will be co-located with the 2010 FTTH Conference & Expo held at the same location from September 12 - 16, 2010.
